Very interesting!

You have to wonder whether God had a part to play with the Chinese government disallowing house churches to grow larger than 25 people (a number often said to be 'the limit' to the recommended number of people in a church plant - Wolfgang Simpson suggests such a number for house churches in 'Houses that Change the World')...what better way for the Government to unknowingly force the multiplication and spread the Chinese church as discussed in the interview!

I agree Andrew... it might pay for us to examine not simply the the idea of smaller Church.... but what is different about this kind of Church? Often I think that people think size... and don't change the way they DO church. I.e. it is just the same as a bigger Church.... just small! But simple Church- which is the term I like - is about deep fellowship - life on life accountability and discipleship - the empowerment of everyone and not the professional - the ease in which the fire of the Gospel can spread through simple Church - the fact it is easily multipliable and ordinary people can do this - and lots more....
